Tristar Group once again demonstrated its industry leadership and deep commitment to seafarer welfare by successfully hosting the Seventh Annual Safety at Sea Conference at the prestigious One & Only Royal Mirage, Dubai, on 10 November 2025. The event, themed “Get Safety Right, Get Everything Right,” served as a global platform for meaningful dialogue on maritime safety, leadership, mental well-being, and incident prevention.

Since its inception in 2019, Tristar’s Safety at Sea Conference has evolved into a premier global forum for ship owners, ship management companies, maritime authorities, healthcare experts, insurers, and professional mariners. The 2025 edition reinforced Tristar’s proactive role in shaping a safer and more responsible maritime industry.

The conference was inaugurated with opening remarks by H.E. Engr. Hessa Al Malek, Executive Adviser to the Minister for Maritime Transport Affairs, UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, reflecting the UAE’s rising stature as a global maritime hub.

Tristar’s Founder and Group CEO, Mr. Eugene Mayne, welcomed the delegates and emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives of seafarers. He reiterated that Tristar’s mission goes far beyond compliance — it focuses on building a culture of care.

3. Incident Prevention

With insights from Mr Graham Westgarth (V.Group) and maritime legal and operational experts, the session discussed preventable incident patterns, risk management, and enhanced reporting culture.

4. Making It Happen

In the concluding panel, senior leaders from Tristar and partner organizations outlined actionable steps to implement safety improvements throughout the fleet and industry.
